The new QRP FT 891 From Yaesu
Finally YAESU released the new FT 891. Today May 21st we have the first photo of the front panel.
It’s definitely not the replacement of YEASU FT 817 ND but… it’s still a nice transceiver.

The new QRP FT 891 from Yeasu:
- HF/50 mhz transceiver
- 100 watts output
- DSP included
- On the rear panel one BNC, and the classic SO 239. (see figure)
- 11 cm x 2.6 cm x 7 cm
- Weight: 1100 gr
- Detachable front panel
- Color display -256 lines (no touch screen)
- Yes: it has ATU !
It covers 30kHz to 56MHz on receive and transmits in the amateur bands from 160m to 6m with 100W output, has a 69.450MHz 1st IF and a 32-bit DSP, which points to a very similar architecture with the Yaesu FT-991. Yaesu has learned from past mistakes and the FT-891 has a large visible display.
